Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Gathervite (mobile app and gathervite.com) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data. Operator / data controller: Simurg Yazılım.

1. Data we collect

1.1 Account data

• Name, email, password (hashed)
• Optional: profile photo, phone, date of birth, gender
• Notification preferences (email / push / reminders)
• Push notification token (if you allow it)
• Account deletion request timestamp

1.2 Event and invite data

• Event title, date/time, location text and optional coordinates, cover image, capacity, branding
• Guest emails, RSVP status (accepted / declined / pending / waitlisted), plus-ones
• Co-host assignments and permissions

1.3 Tickets and door check-in

• Ticket number, QR payload, ticket status (active / checked in / revoked)
• Check-in time and gate info; offline queues are processed when synced

1.4 Social features

• Event photos and moderation status
• Survey questions and answers (identity separated when a question is marked anonymous)
• Gift-list entries and event chat messages

1.5 Technical data

• Secure on-device session storage (tokens)
• Crash / error reports when configured
• Ad SDK identifiers in production (in-app banner)
• Basic website access logs and cookies (below)

2. Why we use data

• Account creation, session, and authentication
• Invites, RSVP, ticket creation and delivery
• Reminders and transactional notifications
• Door check-in and reuse / fraud prevention
• Photos, surveys, gifts, and chat
• Support, security, and abuse prevention
• Legal compliance

We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for unrelated marketing.

3. Legal bases (summary)

Contract performance, legitimate interests (security and service continuity), and consent where required (optional profile fields, push notifications). Details are in the KVKK / Privacy Notice.

4. Sharing and transfers

• Email infrastructure: transactional email for invites and tickets
• Hosting: servers / databases (domestic hosting preferred)
• Hosts and co-hosts: guest lists and check-in info within the event scope
• Guests: limited content visibility based on photo/survey settings
• Legal requests: competent authorities when required by law

5. Retention

Account and event data are kept for the service relationship. After a deletion request we delete or anonymize within a reasonable time. Check-in and security logs are kept only as long as operationally and legally needed. Backup remnants are purged on rotation.

6. Security

Passwords are stored hashed; API access requires authentication; mobile session tokens use secure storage. No system is 100% secure—use a strong password and protect your device.

7. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 18. Age-restricted events may ask for date of birth solely for eligibility checks.

8. Your rights and deletion

See the privacy notice for KVKK Article 11 rights. In the app: Profile → Settings → Request data deletion. Or email info@gathervite.com.

9. Website cookies

The marketing site may use essential functionality cookies. If non-essential analytics cookies are used, a notice / preference mechanism is shown. The mobile app uses secure session storage rather than classic browser cookies.

9.1 Ads on web pages

On invitation-link, event and ticket-view web pages (not the home page or sign-in/verification pages), Google AdSense ads may be shown unless the event host has a Max plan. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads; your cookie/consent choices for these pages are managed through Google’s consent message. Event pages of Max hosts show no ads. 10. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page; material changes may be announced in-app or by email.
