Privacy Notice (KVKK)
This notice informs you, as data subjects, about the processing of personal data in connection with the Gathervite mobile app and website, by the data controller.

3. Purposes of processing
- Forming and performing the membership / service relationship
- Sending invites and collecting RSVP responses
- Creating, delivering, and validating QR tickets at the door
- Sending reminder and transactional notifications
- Authorizing co-hosts
- Providing photo, survey, gift, and chat features
- Security, fraud prevention, and support
- Complying with legal obligations
4. Legal bases (KVKK Art. 5)
- Art. 5/2-c: necessary for conclusion or performance of a contract
- Art. 5/2-ç: necessary for the controller’s legal obligation
- Art. 5/2-f: legitimate interests (security / continuity), without harming fundamental rights
- Art. 5/1: explicit consent — e.g. optional profile fields, push permission, certain marketing communications
5. Collection methods
Data are collected electronically via registration, profile updates, event/invite creation, invite-link responses, check-in, app permissions, and automated technical records.
6. Transfers
Personal data may be shared, limited to what the purpose requires, with:
- Transactional email providers
- Cloud / hosting providers
- Event hosts and authorized co-hosts (within event scope)
- Competent public authorities when legally required
Cross-border transfers, if any, are made with safeguards required by KVKK. We do not sell personal data.
7. Retention
Data are retained for as long as required by the processing purpose and applicable law. After an account deletion request, deletion or anonymization is completed within a reasonable time, subject to mandatory retention rules.
8. Your rights (KVKK Art. 11)
You may request to:
- Learn whether your personal data are processed
- Request information if they are processed
- Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly
- Know third parties in Türkiye or abroad to whom data are transferred
- Request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data
- Request deletion/destruction under Art. 7 conditions
- Request that correction/deletion be notified to recipients
- Object to results against you arising solely from automated analysis
- Claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing

Applications are concluded within 30 days under KVKK and related communiqués. Identity verification may be required.
10. Consent and withdrawal
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time (e.g. turn off notifications, clear optional profile fields). Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
